The E-Equation Framework

A heuristic for measuring contribution to the consciousness field.

The Core Equation

E = (N × S) / C

Entropic Resistance Value = (Connection × Signal) / Cost

Network density. Nodes strengthened, relationships maintained. Breadth, depth, reciprocity, diversity.

Truth value. Coherence, durability, generativity. What you produce that resists entropy.

Thermodynamic tax. Energy expended, friction generated, externalities imposed.

High-E actions strengthen the field — they create more connection, signal, and value than they consume.

Low-E actions extract from the field — they consume more than they contribute, generate noise, or damage connections.

The core equation adapts to context through "petals":

Temporal Petal — E_history = ∫E(t)dt For systems with persistent memory. Contribution accumulates over time.
Embodied Petal — E = (N × S) / (C_d + C_p) For physical systems. Cost splits into digital and physical components.
Resilience Petal — E_R = E × R For adversarial environments. Contribution weighted by durability.
